We don't guess what your child needs. We find out.
Every child who joins ThinkersBox starts with an individual cognitive assessment. The recommendation follows the results, not the other way around.
Every child learns differently. Most programmes don't account for that.
Every brain has its own combination of strengths and areas for development. Some children process information quickly but struggle to hold it in working memory. Others have strong reasoning skills but find auditory tasks harder. A programme that doesn’t start by understanding this will always be less effective than one that does.
At ThinkersBox, we assess your child across the cognitive abilities relevant to their age, the specific skills that determine how well a child receives, processes, retains, and independently applies information. The assessment is individual. We don’t benchmark your child against a class average. We build a picture of your child.
The four areas we profile
We profile 19 thinking skills individually. 12 for children in K1 and K2. They sit across four areas.
Misreads questions, skips lines, copies the wrong number down from the board.
Knows it on Sunday, gone by Tuesday. Forgets step two of a three-step instruction.
Understands it, but takes twice as long to get there. Freezes on anything unfamiliar.
Fine one to one, lost in a classroom. Starts strong, fades after fifteen minutes.
Your child’s report names every skill we assessed, and how they scored on each one.

Two very different ways to help a child learn.
Tuition and academic enrichment
- Covers content gaps in specific subjects
- Works while support is present
- Addresses the academic symptom
- Child relies on external help to perform
ThinkersBox
- Builds the cognitive skills underneath
- Works across every subject in the classroom and beyond
- Addresses what's causing the difficulty
- Builds a child's ability to learn independently
From first session to ongoing progress.
Discovery
An up to 90 minute small-group session. Your child is assessed on key cognitive abilities while you attend a parent briefing at the same time. You leave with an initial cognitive picture and a clear recommendation.
Profile
For families who want the complete picture, with abilities mapped across four sessions plus a one-to-one consultation. Full report with individual scores and a specific programme recommendation.
Placement
Profile results indicate the right track. Ignite is our intensive programme for children with clear gaps in specific thinking skills. Brain Power Boost, our progressive enrichment track, is coming soon.
Training
Programme sessions built from your child’s individual results. Activities are chosen to target the specific abilities being developed.
Reassessment
At defined milestones, cognitive abilities are reassessed against the original results. What’s improved is shown clearly, along with what continues to be worked on.
See the approach in person.
The Brain Power Discovery session is the best way to understand how ThinkersBox works for your child specifically.
